1. A Paddy parade
The annual Paddy Hough Parade returns from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. March 16, starting at Hough Elementary, 1900 Daniels St., Vancouver; free. The parade features students, staff and the community in a celebration of Hough Elementary School, its neighborhoods and the city. The parade will start at Hough Elementary, continuing north on Daniels to 24th Street, east on 24th Street to Main Street, south on Main Street to McLoughlin Boulevard, then west on McLoughlin back to Daniels to finish at the school. 360-313-2100 or hough.vansd.org
2. The sound of bagpipes
Looking for a change-up to the regular St. Patrick’s Day celebrations? Look no further than St. Patrick’s Day Music and a Movie, which features live performances from Cynthia and Nathaniel Soohoo, a duo that will play Irish tunes on the keyboard and fiddle. 4. It’s got soul
Bravo! Northwest Choir and Chamber Orchestra returns with the “Sacred & Divine Soul Music” concert. Led by conductor and pianist Maria Manzo, the concert features two of the most beautiful and famous pieces of sacred music for choir and orchestra: “Requiem” by Maurice Durufl? and the “Stabat Mater” by Giovani Pergolesi from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. March 18 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 426 E.
