Portland — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding an Oregon State University student and her boyfriend, who have been missing since Friday and are feared to be suicidal.

Kiara N. Wick, 23, whose permanent address is in Milwaukie, and Jacob A. Eveler, 20, of Philomath, were reported missing at 6:45 p.m. Friday. Family members fear that they are at risk of harming themselves, police said.

The pair were last seen on surveillance video that was recorded at about 9:42 a.m. Friday as they left Wick’s dormitory, Tebeau Hall on OSU’s Corvallis campus. Police said both of them were carrying backpacks, and Wick might have been carrying a yellow tent.

Friday afternoon, a car that Eveler drives was found at his parents’ home in Philomath. Police said the couple has been known to use another car — a dark, four-door sedan that’s in poor condition. Police had no additional descriptions of that car.

Police don’t know where the couple went, but said Wick likes the beach and Eveler likes the Burnt Woods area.

Wick is 5 feet, 8 inches tall. The clothing she was wearing when she left was unknown.

Eveler is 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a “Rockstar” sweatshirt and a gray “Carthartt” beanie. Police said he might have recently shaven his face and cut his hair.

Anyone with information about the couple’s whereabouts is asked to call campus police at (541)737-3010.
