Letter: March for our lives

By Mary Laski, Vancouver
Published: March 22, 2018, 6:00am

I write this after a sleepless night filled with images of school children fleeing gun fire.

Enough is enough! Not one more American child should die in a school shooting. The time is here, the time is now to stand with young leaders who ask for sensible gun laws to protect students.

This Saturday, Americans across the country will march with student leaders to deliver this message to our legislators. I urge you to join them here in Vancouver.

Just like D-Day turned the tide, this day can turn the tide, but we need huge masses of people to deliver the message.

I know, you will be only one little dot on a very big map, but every little dot counts. I know you are busy, and it will take time but nothing else you do that day is more important. Do you support the Second Amendment? You are not marching against the Second Amendment, you are marching for children. So plan to get up off the couch, push away the computer, put on your shoes and march for children … like lives depend upon it. Because they do.
