Woodland woman earns award upon graduation from online law school

Woodland — Linda Smithies earned the Sue Lane Award from the Concord Law School during Kaplan University’s 27th annual graduation ceremony. The law school, which is entirely online, held its commencement ceremony March 2 in Los Angeles. The Sue Lane Award is given in memory of its namesake, who was the first registrar of Concord Law School, and is presented to a graduate who best embodies strong work ethic, a compassionate nature and a dedication to community service.
