HILLSBORO, Ore. — A man has been arrested for attempting to lure a 13-year-old Oregon girl to a bus stop in Kelso for sex.
The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday the girl’s father discovered 65-year-old Donald Lee Hogan had sent messages to a social media account set up for the father’s 6-year-old daughter.
The father replied saying that his daughter was 13 and then contacted authorities.
Detectives took over the chat and arrested Hogan at the bus depot in Kelso where he expected to meet the child.
Authorities say they found sex toys and child-sized lingerie at Hogan’s home.
Court records show Hogan is being held without bail on suspicion of child rape and communicating with a child for immoral purposes.
