Workforce Southwest Washington has updated its strategic plan to grow and sustain jobs in the region and wants to hear from the public.

The four-year plan covers 2016 to 2020, but Workforce is required to update it every two years. The organization is partially funded through the state Employment Security Department.

“This plan now is taking all of the most recent information we have … and we’ve added some of our new activities that we’re doing,” Workforce CEO Jeanne Bennett said.

Activities include newly completed employment research and new initiatives, such as an upcoming Youth Employment Center that is slated to open early July. The plan is available for review at workforcesw.org. Comments must be emailed by 5 p.m. June 1 to info@workforcesw.org.
