Letter: Fire Herrera Beutler

By Dylan Normington, Vancouver
Published: May 10, 2018, 6:00am

Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, does not deserve your vote this year. She is ineffective as a congresswoman and has accomplished nothing to prevent tolls on freeways to Oregon. She uses our tax dollars to send out fliers that claim that she’s fighting for us, but she has nothing to show for it.

She couldn’t even get her own party — the Republican Party, which controls Congress and the presidency — to pass her legislation to prevent possible tolls.

In the private sector, if you can’t get the job done, you’re fired. It’s time to fire Herrera Beutler from representing us.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
