‘Fill the boot’ for MDA during Parade of Bands

Hazel Dell – Firefighters with the International Association of Firefighters Local 1805, the union for Clark County Fire District 6 firefighters, will be on the Hazel Dell Parade of Bands route Saturday “filling the boot” to raise money for muscular dystrophy research.

Cash dropped in the boots helps the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which has worked with the union on fundraising since 1954, support research and medical care.

The money raised goes toward research and medical equipment and also pays to send children with neuromuscular diseases from our area to summer camp for a week in Oregon in July.
