Clark Asks: Help us pick the next story we report

You’ve recently shared some good questions on Clark Asks, our regular feature where you ask and we dig for answers.

To help us narrow the field, we need your help to pick one of three in this week’s voting round, including:

• Where do the neighborhoods get their names? I learned the story behind Image Neighborhood and it was interesting. Almost no one in our neighborhood knows.

• What’s with the abandoned white yacht at the old Kaiser shipyard?

• Who are the Women Who Weld, and what is their background? I know they’ve done several art pieces around the county.

You can vote on these three questions at columbian.com/clarkasks until Thursday, and then we’ll start reporting on the winning question and publish a story soon afterward. You can also share your own questions or see what we’ve reported on this past year.

Last week, we answered a question by reader Ed Delph, who asked: How much does law enforcement in Clark County cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement or is this a “sanctuary” area?

Earlier this month, we solved a mystery for Ronelle Tibbits, who’s wondered for a long time about a large nondescript building just west of Vancouver’s Fire Station 3 on Mill Plain and Devine Street.

The building is fenced off and the only nearby clue is a water tower.
