Seattle-based artist Jeff Jacobson, "Weirdocult", puts the finishing touches on a mural outside Main Street Marijuana in Vancouver on Thursday, May 24, 2018. Jacobson arrived last weekend to start the mural he's titled, "Electric Amsterdam." He describes the piece of art as post-internet hyper realism. It's a take on classic realism and something that feels historical for uptown, he said.

Seattle artist Jeff Jacobson takes advantage of Thursday’s dry weather to work on “Electric Amsterdam,” a mural he’s painting on a wall outside the Main Street Marijuana store in Vancouver’s Uptown Village. Jacobson, who goes by the name “Weirdocult,” describes the piece of art as post-internet hyper realism. It’s a take on classic realism and something that feels historical for uptown, he said. Main Street Marijuana, one of the state’s largest cannabis retailers, is in the process of expanding into a storefront next door.
