Elder abuse awareness event coming up

Vancouver – The Friends of the Elder Justice Center will hold the ninth annual Turn the Town Purple Elder Abuse Awareness Day Dance from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. June 7 at the Luepke Senior Center, 1009 E. McLoughlin Blvd., Vancouver. The event is free to all seniors.

The dance will feature music from Charles and the Angels. The dance is a culmination of the month-long Turn the Town Purple Campaign, which focuses on vulnerable adult abuse awareness and celebrates World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June 15.
