Letter: Replace Herrera Beutler

By Travis Elmore, Vancouver
Published: May 30, 2018, 6:00am

It’s time for change — Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler’s support of President Trump and the culture of corruption that he has established do not reflect the values of the citizens of Southwest Washington. Whether it’s the president’s comments about women or his staffers’ inappropriate comments about Sen. John McCain’s battle with brain cancer, Herrera Beutler refuses to speak out. This fall, let’s elect someone who represents the values of our region, will engage the voters by having in-person town halls and will stand up against corruption.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
