Volunteer opportunities

Volunteer Connections provides opportunities through the Human Services Council. For information on the following and other opportunities, call 360-735-3690

• Hospice Southwest is looking for volunteers for the “We Honor Veterans” program. Help identify and meet the needs of this unique population. The program also needs creative volunteers to help plan and coordinate ways to honor veterans on special holidays and celebrations. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

• North County Community Food Bank needs volunteers drivers and warehouse workers at the Battle Ground food bank.

• Reach Community Development seeks volunteers in its food pantry programs at the Isabella Court and McCallister locations. Place orders to the Clark County Food Bank, stock the pantry, and assist patrons. The time commitment is approximately six hours per month.

• The Salvation Army Food Bank needs helpers to ride in its bread truck, picking up donations, 7 a.m. to noon. Volunteers must be able to lift 10 pounds and get in and out of the truck.
