Does Gov. Jay Inslee really believe Initiative 1631 will make any difference in lowering temperatures? What it will do is create another government boondoggle with high-paying salaries (and pensions) for his cronies. It will also raise gas prices, with more to come. And everything else connected with fossil fuel — transportation, grocery prices, etc. — will get more expensive, too, for years to come. More than $2 billion out of our pocketbooks by 2025.
China pumps out 500 million tons of CO2 annually; I-1631 here would make no difference whatsoever.
Vote “no” on I-1631.
