Lewis River Telephone building to be auctioned

LA CENTER — The La Center office building that formerly housed the Lewis River Telephone Co. is scheduled to be auctioned at 11 a.m. Nov. 13. Tours of the property will be 1-4 p.m. Nov. 5 to 7, by appointment. Interested parties should contact J.P. King, the real estate firm conducting the auction, at 800-558-5464 or jpking.com.

The 10,000-square-foot property is next to the La Center City Hall on Fourth Street, and features an atrium, elevator, multiple kitchenettes, conference and break rooms and a six-bay covered garage in addition to 44 parking spaces.

The Lewis River Telephone Co. is a subsidiary of the national company TDS Telecom, which owns the building. J.P. King describes the La Center building as a TDS Telecom surplus property.
