There was talk of redemption and not leaving the result to penalty kicks.

The Clark College women’s soccer team took care of all that on Saturday with a convincing 4-0 victory over Bellevue College in the quarterfinals of the Northwest Athletic Conference playoffs.

The Penguins (12-0-1) advance to the NWAC final four on Friday at Starfire Complex in Tukwila where they will face Tacoma (12-6-3) at 12:30 p.m.

The final is set for 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11.

This is a return trip to the semifinals for Clark, which lost to eventual champion Highline on penalty kicks last year. It is also Clark’s eighth season in a row making the NWAC postseason.

And so far this season, it’s been a dominating run.

Clark has outscored its opponents 56-1.

Scoring for the Penguins on Saturday against Bellevue were Natalie Paul (assist to Hannah Taie), Allyson Findlay, Kayla Beard and Maddie Topaum.

Maggie Higgins made five saves in goal for Clark, and Isabelle Bauer played the last 10 minutes in goal without facing a shot.
