Letter: Kavanaugh hearing is a lose-lose

Is there a male senator who supports women’s right to abortion?

The Kavanaugh hearing is a lose-lose situation for the country and participants. Brett Kavanaugh’s demeanor, political history and bitterness is not the type of character I would expect of a judge, much less a judge on the highest court in the nation.

For me it is equally interesting that I have seen no male senator who is willing to stand up for a woman’s right to abortion. Everyone knows Kavanaugh would vote to repeal the present law upholding women’s right to abortion since he has already voted in a dissenting opinion that a girl should be made to have a child against her own wishes. Are there no Republican men who believe in a woman’s right to decide for herself?
