A 45-year-old North Bonneville man was killed Saturday morning when he crashed a motorcycle into a compact SUV on state Highway 14 near Stevenson, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Ralph E. Perez was riding a 2016 Yamaha FZ-09 motorcycle east on the highway near Milepost 43 when he attempted to pass a 2013 Toyota RAV4 just as it made a left turn, according to a bulletin from the WSP. It said Perez was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the RAV4, Georgia C. Corrie, 69, of Corbett, Ore., was not injured, the bulletin said.

The crash was blamed on unsafe passing. No citations were issued, the bulletin said.
