Clark County – Clark County is looking for volunteers to serve on its Parks Advisory Board.

The Parks Advisory Board makes recommendations to the Clark County Council and staff on the acquisition, planning and development of county parks. It also keeps in touch with other organizations, associations and citizens regarding parks.

According to a county news release, applicants should be prepared to complete a two-year term, which begins in January. The board meets from noon to 2:30 p.m. the second Friday of the month, usually at Luke Jensen Sports Park. Members are not paid. To avoid potential conflicts of interest, they are prohibited from being county employees or involved with park construction or planning.

Applicants should submit a resume and letter of interest to Alyssa Weyhrauch, Board of County Councilors, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666.

Applicants also may submit information by email to Alyssa.Weyhrauch@clark.wa.gov or fax to 360-397-6058.

Application deadline is 5 p.m. Nov. 16.
