A 29-year-old woman went to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening after being struck crossing the street.

According to Chad Rothenberger, a sergeant with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the male driver of a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling northbound on Northeast 117th Avenue and struck the woman while attempting to make a right turn onto Northeast 99th Street.

He said the driver didn’t see the pedestrian, who was using the crosswalk and had the right of way. He said the driver was cooperative, was not intoxicated and was cited with failure to yield to a pedestrian.

The call of the incident came in shortly after 4 p.m.
