Letter: Vote to fight climate change

By David L. Rowe, Battle Ground
Published: October 23, 2018, 6:00am

All climate-change deniers in Congress should be voted out. There is still time to reverse global warming if politicians and scientists work together. Washington state’s bountiful wheat crops cannot germinate if future summers become any hotter. We can’t afford more wildfires caused by climate change.

Elections should not be left or right, nor Republicans or Democrats. Elections shape the world we’re leaving to our children and grandchildren. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, has voted with the Republican Congress to maintain global warming policies. American voters can reverse climate change. The world is praying we will.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
