Marinades can make even the best elk steak better, and most will tenderize the meat as well as lock in the flavors and juices. This easy marinade is made from common ingredients found in most kitchens.

Ingredients:

3 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp Soy sauce

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp lemon juice

3 tbsp onion, minced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp ground black pepper

1/4 tsp red Tabasco Sauce

There is no need to add any salt. The Worcestershire and soy sauce will bring enough of that.

Whisk together the ingredients. Place 4 to 8 elk steaks in a plastic bag. Pour in the marinade, and bleed off any excess air in the bag, and seal it. Place the bag in the refrigerator overnight.
