Letter: That’s enough of Donald J. Trump

When President Trump was elected, I liked many of the ideas he presented, as well as appreciating several of the things he has accomplished since taking office.

While campaigning, which I am certain everyone recalls, Trump stated loud and clear about Sen. John McCain: “He was a war hero because he was captured! I don’t like people who get captured!”

Trump refused to show any dignity during McCain’s service, even playing golf during the ceremonies. Surely, Trump is a hero for having escaped from the dreaded and tortuous sand traps of his golf course.

The criticisms of Trump by Meghan McCain during her heartfelt eulogy were spot on, and well-deserved by Trump. Of course, Trump showed that he is truly the better man texting in all caps his MAGA thing again immediately following the ceremonies.

Many of my fellow Marines’ names, and one relative’s name, are posted on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall. They are the silent heroes and his tone has disrespected all of them, and all of us who served in Vietnam. I’ve had enough of Donald J. Trump.
