The Board of Directors of the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington has appointed Ann Wheelock as interim director.
Wheelock begins her duties Sept. 17 and will serve as senior leader of the Free Clinic. She replaces Barbe West, who had served as executive director since 2009. West is leaving to serve as executive director for Southwest Washington Accountable Community of Health in Vancouver.
Wheelock’s held previous positions as chief executive officer of the Columbia United Providers and chief financial officer of the Vancouver Clinic. She has served on the Free Clinic’s board of directors, finance committee, and as board treasurer.
“It’s an honor to help out the Free Clinic,” Wheelock said. “It’s a fantastic group of volunteers and staff. The Free Clinic is a real gem of Clark County.”
