Vancouver police responded to a robbery call in the Carter Park neighborhood late Tuesday. No suspects were found, however.

Police were called shortly before 9 p.m. to the 1120 block of West 34th Way, emergency dispatch records show.

The victim reported that he was jumped by six to eight males, and his wallet was stolen. No weapon was seen, according to Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp. The victim was uninjured.

A police canine was deployed in the area to track the suspects but was unable to locate anyone, Kapp said.

The suspect vehicle was described as a black BMW, she said.
