Applications are available for the Congressional App Challenge. The deadline is Oct. 15.

The challenge is open to area high school students and invites students to design apps on the platform of their choice. Winners will be chosen by a judge pool made up of Southwest Washington STEM educators. The winning app will be featured on House.Gov in addition to a monetary prize.

“I am excited to once again help host this year’s app-building challenge in Southwest Washington and look forward to seeing what comes from our brilliant, young minds,” Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, said in a press release. “This contest offers a great opportunity for students to combine creativity with STEM skills that will serve them in school and beyond.”
