Letter: Kavanaugh shows ignorance

By Jane E. Wilson, Vancouver
Published: September 15, 2018, 6:00am

During the Senate hearings, Brett Kavanaugh likened birth control to “abortion inducing drugs.” So this man is completely ignorant of science. Birth control was illegal in the U.S. until 1965. Then it was allowed for married women. Let that sink in. It wasn’t legal for single women until 1972. To all you women who voted for President Donald Trump, see what you have wrought? Are you happy? How about if you have all the children you want? So, thank you very much. Are all you men willing to give up sex?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
