A driver was transported to Peace Health Southwest Medical Center with unknown injuries Saturday morning after losing control of his car, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Derek A. Rajic, 37, was driving eastbound in the right lane of state Highway 14 when his 2009 Nissan Altima veered off the road to the right. The car rolled and struck trees and a fence, according to the WSP. The car was totaled.

The cause of the accident is being investigated, but a WSP memo says drugs or alcohol were involved. Charges are pending. No one else was involved or injured.
