Former Oregon police officer sentenced for abusing girl

PORTLAND — A former Oregon police officer has been sentenced for repeatedly sexually abusing a girl.

KTVZ reported Thursday that 35-year-old John Joseph Wallace Jr. was sentenced Thursday to six years in federal prison and lifelong supervised release.

Court records say Wallace pleaded guilty Jan. 3 in federal court to three counts of abusive sexual contact with a minor.
