A stabbing Tuesday in Bagley Downs left one man with injuries that were not life-threatening, while his assailant remained at large.

Vancouver police responded around 4:45 p.m. to Northeast Stapleton Road and East Fourth Plain Boulevard. Three men had been in an altercation over parking outside the Quick Stop Smoke Shop, 5210 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver Police Sgt. McAvoy Shipp said.

The fight started when a man driving a Nissan exited the car and kicked a Mercedes-Benz occupied by two men, Shipp said. The two men then exited the car and began striking the Nissan.

During the fight, one of the men from the Mercedes was stabbed by the man driving the Nissan, Shipp said. Police were unable to locate the man who drove the Nissan, and he remained at large Tuesday night.

Shipp declined to identify the men or the specifics of the injury, citing the ongoing investigation.
