1. Show, down at the Old Liberty
At 7:30 p.m. April 20, Tony Starlight will perform “Go Western, Young Man,” an all-ages show featuring classic country songs with Tony’s signature satirical twist, interspersed with a heapin’ helpin’ of cowboy comedy schtick. Starlight will be accompanied by his well-seasoned live band, fresh from the frontier at the Tony Starlight Showroom in Portland, to create a boot-scootin’ boogie of a good time. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. at the Old Liberty Theater, 115 N. Main St., Ridgefield. Admission is $25. 360-887-7260 or www.oldlibertytheater.com
2. Swanning around
On April 19-20, Columbia Dance Company performs its signature concert, Columbia Dance Presents! featuring thoughtfully selected excerpts from Acts I and II of Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake,” plus exciting choreographic works by Shaun Keylock, David Justin, Suzanne Haag and Columbia’s artistic director, Jan Hurst. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, and $10 for ages 12 and under. Performances are 7 p.m. on both days with an additional 2 p.m. matinee on April 20 at the Royal Durst Theatre, Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, 3010 Main St., Vancouver. 360-737-1922 or columbiadance.org
3. A microrun for microbrews
If you don’t like running, the not-very-athletic ReDANKulous Run might be the event for you. This free “run” (in quotes, very ironically) begins at 4 p.m. April 20 with beer-drinking at Loowit Brewing, 507 Columbia St. in downtown Vancouver. Then, at 4:20 p.m., those participants (responsible drinkers 21 and over) who feel properly energized will run — or jog, or walk briskly, or perhaps amble enthusiastically — to Heathen Brewing Feral Public House, exactly .420 miles away at 1109 Washington St., to sample one or two of Heathen’s craft brews. 360-566-2323, www.facebook.com/loowitbrewing or heathenbrewing.com
4. Eggalomania
Clark County’s largest egg hunt is hoppin’ into Washougal April 20 with a whopping 25,000 eggs hidden in the grass at Hathaway Park, 25th and H Streets. The Community Egg Hunt and EGGstravaganza is hosted by the city of Washougal and Washougal Eagles 4390, with egg hunts starting at 1 p.m. for four age groups (newborns to age 2, ages 3 to 5, 6 to 8 and 9 to 12). Each egg contains a chance for prizes (toys) or the grand prize (a bike). The EGGstravaganza, noon to 3 p.m., features a petting zoo, crafts, free hot dogs and cotton candy, and — of course — the Easter Bunny. 360-835-8501 or www.cityofwashougal.us
