Opening exhibits

The Society of Washington Artists Spring Show and Sale, May 2 to 5. This is Southwest Washington’s largest art show, featuring 200 pieces of art, including paintings and 3D art by artists from Washington and Oregon, plus a silent auction, featuring many items created by artists. Community Room at the Water Resources Education Center, 4600 S.E. Columbia Way, Vancouver; free admission. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 2, noon to 8 p.m. May 3 and 4, and noon to 3 p.m. May 5. “Reef Fish of the Pacific,” through May. Artist Jeffrey Hill, who divides his time between Vancouver and Hawaii, will exhibit his papier-mache fish in the display case of the Camas Public Library. Most of the fish are realistic representations of the fish from Hawaii and the Western Pacific, along with a few fanciful fish. Hill’s work has been exhibited in libraries on Hawaii’s Big Island. Middle School Art Exhibit, through May 31, with a free opening reception with refreshments from 5:30 to 7 p.m. May 1.
