Battle Ground Health Care, a nonprofit providing medical care to those in need, seeks a receptionist to answer phones, check-in clients, assist clients with questions and make appointments. Applicants willing to learn the medical records system are preferred. Some computer skills, or a willingness to learn, are required. Current shifts available are 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, or 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays.

Clark County Parks Volunteer Program is looking for volunteers for the Eighth Annual Big Paddle Festival in Ridgefield to assist with setup of the event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 31. Volunteers are also needed to help paddlers with registration as well as loading and unloading of kayaks and canoes from 7 to 10:30 a.m., and assist with cleanup from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on June 1.

Clark County Food Bank seeks food sorters from 10 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. Volunteers are responsible for sorting and repackaging food and grocery donations. Brief on-site training is required. Volunteers should be able to lift 25 pounds. Spanish translators are also needed to assist the Cooking Matters program.

Dog Owners Group for Park Access Washington (DOGPAW) invites members and other users of the organization’s off-leash dog parks to clean up one park on the first Saturday of each month. For the May 4 cleanup, volunteers will meet at 10 a.m. at Kane Dog Park, behind the playground and ballfields at Hockinson Meadows Park. Bring work gloves and yard tools. FISH of Vancouver is looking for a snack sack assistant to provide nutritious lunches to homeless people with compassion and integrity. Morning and afternoon shifts are available Monday through Friday. A background in mental health, de-escalation techniques and homeless outreach is helpful. Warehouse volunteers are also needed to break down and sort incoming pallets of food, update warehouse maps and verify proper inventory rotation in warehouse cold storage. The National Association of Letter Carriers needs volunteers for the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive across all of Clark County, especially in the Vancouver area. Shifts are flexible between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on May 11 at multiple locations. Volunteers with pickup trucks or high-capacity vehicles are especially needed to pick up food donations on designated routes and deliver them back to the post offices. Touchmark at Fairway Village seeks memory care volunteers for one-on-one visits with residents living in memory care at least one hour a week, for activities such as playing rummy, chatting with residents and sharing favorite book excerpts. Aside from one-on-one visits, volunteers can also share any talents, gifts or interests, such as musical performances or leading group crafts. Watercolor sessions are available from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays, which also require volunteers.
