OnPoint Community Credit Union will open a branch late this summer in the Murdock Building at The Waterfront Vancouver, it was announced Tuesday.

“As we expand our footprint in Southwest Washington, there was no question that we had to have a branch at The Waterfront Vancouver,” said Rob Stuart, OnPoint president and CEO. “This location is truly a landmark for the city of Vancouver and we had to be a part of that excitement.”

OnPoint is the largest credit union in Oregon, serving more than 367,000 members, and also operates branches in Clark and Skamania counties.

The waterfront branch will be the credit union’s fifth in the Vancouver area following others in Salmon Creek, the Minnehaha area and two in east Vancouver.

The new OnPoint branch will occupy 2,200 square feet on the ground floor of the Murdock. With the addition of OnPoint, the building at 655 Columbia Way is 80 percent leased, according to a representative for Gramor Development, The Waterfront Vancouver developer.

“The addition of businesses like OnPoint help shape The Waterfront into the thriving mixed-use development we’ve envisioned,” said Barry Cain, Gramor president. “We look forward to welcoming OnPoint and continuing to expand the services available for residents and visitors of the development.”

The building’s first tenant was the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, which began moving into its new offices on the building’s top two floors in December. Chicago Title, Fidelity National Title, the law firm McKean Smith and software company Trend Capital have moved in or announced plans to lease office space.

Pizzeria Sul Lago, a wood fired pizza restaurant in Lake Oswego, Ore., previously announced that it would be opening a branch in a 3,325-square-foot space on the Murdock’s ground floor. Gramor staff expect it to open this summer, possibly in July.
