Letter: Vote for your future

By Robert Stevens, Vancouver

Some writers find it amusing how the Don got where he got by breaking all the rules. Do they think it’s funny how Moscow Mitch rode in like a Trojan horse and won the war for the Confederacy after 150 long years? This is immoral, inhumane, and some might say, un-American.

People who are serious about the future for themselves and their children need to vote for it. I hope they can find a way to turn commerce and technology into regenerative enterprises such as refining plastics back into carbon for soil and atmosphere regeneration. I’m guessing our grandchildren would be much happier getting their hands dirty at restorative work and truly beating swords into plowshares.

There’s much hope and many creative approaches within the field of Democratic candidates and new representatives, and potentially a very positive and effective executive branch. Imagine replacing Betsy DeVos with Marianne Williamson, or William Barr with Stacy Abrams.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
