Girls basketball: W.F. West 52, R.A. Long 30

Miranda Lomax scored 10 points to lead R.A. Long, which got outscored 36-12 in the first quarter.

“They got up on us real quick,” R.A. Long coach Jan Karnofski said. “It tooks until the last part of the second quarter to start to play with them. They’re a really good team that is going to go far this season.”

R.A. Long opens 2A Greater St. Helens League play on Friday at Hockinson
