Letter: Impeachment process unfair

By Daphne Kivinen, Vancouver

Who has crowned Adam Schiff king? Is there anyone out there that can hold him accountable? It appears he can run roughshod on whomever he chooses.

Is what he’s doing legal? Would anyone like to have a hearing where only one side can be heard or where they are not allowed to produce witnesses that can speak on their behalf? Would our lower courts allow that? Who is in control? What is happening with this impeachment process doesn’t seem fair or legal. Why can’t both sides be heard fairly?

These are only a few questions that I have. Maybe there is a fair and balanced columnist or a law professor out there who can answer my questions. To the very common person like myself, it just doesn’t seem like the process is right. It doesn’t matter if you are a Democrat or Republican because a precedent is being set this year. We need to protect the office for our future presidents.
