The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with Columbia Credit Union to award five grants to small businesses in Southwest Washington totaling $9,500. The chamber announced the news on Wednesday.

The awards come from the chamber’s Small Business Social Media Hashtag Contest, which ran throughout the month of November. Businesses with fewer than 25 full-time employees were encouraged to participate by posting testimonials about their businesses. Clients could also participate by posting about businesses.

The winners were Chandelier Bakery, First Sight Family Vision, Kazoodles toy store, When the Shoe Fits and The House Pilates. The first four businesses each received a $2,000 grant to help further their business growth and development, and The House Pilates received a $1,500 grant and a year’s membership in the chamber.
