Girls basketball: Hudson’s Bay 56, R.A. Long 35

Jaydia Martin scored 29 points to lead the Eagles to victory at the Hoops on the Holiday tournament at Evergreen High.

Paytin Ballard added 12 points and Kamelai Powell added 10 for Hudson’s Bay, which led 24-15 at halftime. Martin was a consistent scorer throughout the game for the Eagles (6-2).

“They tried a box-in-one, but it didn’t work,” said Bay coach Michael Rainville.

Jayla Clark scored 10 points to lead R.A. Long (3-4).
