Seton Catholic built a double-digit lead by the fourth quarter and held off a late-game rally by W.F. West to earn a 76-74 victory over the 2A Bearcats to close out the SunDome Shootout boys basketball tournament in Yakima.

Cougars head coach Kris Small said his team had a double-digit lead with 3 minutes left in the fourth quarter before W.F. West “relentlessly came at us.”

The coach credited Gabe Anderson (16 points) and Xavian Rushing (15) for their play down the stretch. They combined for 5 for 5 at the free throw line. As a team, Seton went 18 of 20.

“It really came down to gabe and Rushing making their free throws at the end to keep us in front,” Small said.
