Boys basketball: Montesano 70, Seton Catholic 68, OT

Evan Bates rebounded his own shot and put it back in the basket as time expired in overtime to give Montesano the victory in the first-round game of the 1A District tournament.

Seton Catholic had climbed back from a 17-point first-half deficit to take the lead early in the fourth quarter.

Neither team could score on their last possession in regulation.

Xavian rushing led the Cougars in scoring with 21 points, Gabe Anderson had 19, and Isaiah Parker added 10.
