The National Weather Service has issued a freezing fog advisory for the Vancouver metro area and Clark County.

Temperatures ranging from 27 to 32 degrees are creating slick road surfaces and reduced visibilities that may impact the Monday morning commute, according to the weather service.

Visibility may be less than a quarter mile in some spots.

The affected county communities include Vancouver, Battle Ground, Ridgefield, Washougal, Yacolt and Amboy.

“If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Also, be alert for frost on bridge decks causing slippery roads,” the advisory says.

Things should clear up by 10 a.m., when the advisory is set to expire.

There is a slight chance for rain Monday night in Vancouver. The daytime high should reach 41 degrees, with colder temperatures again chilling the area the later it gets.
