Vancouver police are searching for two men after a car was stolen at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon in the North Hearthwood neighborhood, according to the department.

The 2009 silver Chevrolet Malibu was reported stolen at 1:09 p.m. in the 1100 block of Northeast 142nd Avenue. The victim told police he was sitting in his parked car on the street in front of his home when he was approached by two men who were on foot, according to police.

They climbed into the back seat, pointed a black handgun at the victim, and demanded he hand over the car. The man gave up the car without resisting, and the robbers drove away in it. No one was injured.

The suspects are described as thin black men in their 30s. One of the men was wearing a red sweatshirt and the other a blue sweatshirt. Both stand about 5 feet, 9 inches.

The stolen car has dark-tinted windows, black tires and rims with no hubs, said police spokeswoman Kim Kapp. Its license place is AXK3381.
