Washougal held Ridgefield to eight second-half points — including no third-quarter field goals — on its way to cruising to a 53-25 victory in Wednesday’s 2A Greater St. Helens League girls basketball game.
Senior Beyonce Bea had a game-high 15 points, and added six rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks. She also was honored pregame as the program’s all-time leading scorer.
The Panthers (7-4, 3-0) held the Spudders (7-4, 1-2)to without a third-quarter field goal and built a 41-18 lead entering the final eight minutes. Washougal led 25-17 at halftime.
Skylar Bea added six points and 10 rebounds and Sammy Mederos and Ashley Gibbons had six points apiece for the Panthers.
