A developer has submitted plans for a new 300-unit apartment complex in the Hazel Dell neighborhood. The project, called the Gaither Apartments, would consist of 28 buildings located at a site on the southwest corner of Northeast 78th Street and Northeast Saint Johns Road, according to a report from Clark County’s Community Development office.

The site consists of four adjacent parcels. The property owner previously submitted plans in 2007 to build a commercial development on the site, which apparently did not come to fruition; the four parcels are still largely undeveloped.

According to the county’s online permit database, the pre-application packet for the apartment project was submitted in December. A pre-application conference with Community Development staff was scheduled for Jan. 3.
