Ridgefield — Union Ridge Elementary School students worked with Richard Moody, an artist and retired teacher, to craft ornaments out of clay.

He showed the students how to make Santa’s face, Cinnamon Bear and snowman ornaments.

The students later painted their ornaments, and Moody put the pieces into the kiln at South Ridge Elementary School.

The students finished the ornaments in time to take them home for the holidays.
