Girls basketball: La Center 64, Columbia-White Salmon 25

Hot shooting from the perimeter powered the Wildcats to a 1A Trico League win at home.

Taylor Stephens scored 23 points and made six of La Center’s 15 3-pointers. Mia Edwards added 17 points and made five 3-pointers.

Freshman Kylee Stephens had 13 points, seven rebounds and six assists for La Center (5-7, 3-0). Sierra Frasier led the Wildcats with eight rebounds.

Bailey Gimlin scored 11 points to lead the Bruins (6-8, 0-3).
