Clackamas County, Ore., sheriff’s deputies arrested a 26-year-old Sandy, Ore., man following a police chase that crossed into Clark County and ended in Camas.
Officers with the Oregon City, Ore., Police Department spotted Nathanael Aaron Samuel at about 3:40 a.m. driving a Dodge pickup that had been reported stolen on northbound Interstate 205 near Highway 213, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
The officers and deputies tried to stop the truck, but it sped off, the news release says. They continued to chase Samuel on the freeway and crossed the Interstate 205 Bridge.
“After successful attempts by the use of spike strips to flatten the tires to the vehicle driven by Mr. Samuel, he crashed the truck and then fled on foot into the Camas Cemetery where he was apprehended by a Clackamas County deputy,” the sheriff’s office said.
