Sophomore center Alicia Andrew notched her second triple-double in four games and took over in the final two quarters, coach Tom Klutz said to help the Spudders win for the third time in four games.

Andrew finished with a team-best 15 points, 21 rebounds and 11 blocks. She had 19 points, 25 rebounds and 10 blocks in a Jan. 4 overtime win at R.A. Long.

Andrew had 13 of her 15 points in the second half, including nine in the third when the Spudders outscored River 17-5 after trailing by one at halftime.

“She took over in the second half in the third quarter and into the fourth,” Klutz said.

Klutz also praised his team’s defensive effort with “really good team defense” limiting the Chieftains to seven field goals and single-digit scoring three out of four quarters.

Devi Dugan added 12 points for the Spudders. Jordan Ryan led River with 14 points.
