Felida — Drawing inspiration from their social studies lesson on the organization Santa Paws, Skyview High School’s Transitional Skills Room 405 collected supplies for animals at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. Their effort, Operation Storm Paws, saw donations from other students and staffers at the school. They made a banner to hang in Skyview’s common area and sent an email around the school. The in-school iQ Credit Union, along with many animal-loving staff members and students, contributed. On Dec. 15, some students delivered the goods to the Humane Society accompanied by paraeducators Kayla Hougan and Christine Covarrubias and teacher Raquel Cleys.
